June M. Horner

June M. Horner,Age 78, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital in Chardon, Ohio. Born January 4, 1931 in Geneva, to Alice (Roxbury) & Orville D. Phelps, Sr. she married Donald Horner on November 3, 1951 at the Geneva United Methodist Church. June was a retired registered nurse from Geneva Memorial Hospital. she was a 1949 Graduate of Spencer High School in Geneva and a 1952 graduate of Huron Road School of Nursing. She was an active member of the Geneva First United Methodist Church and was also active in the Spencer Alumni Reunions. June loved the family picnics on the back porch and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She had a special love for animals, especially her dog, Jennie. She is survived by Husband: Donald Horner of Geneva; Daughter, Amy Horner of Geneva; Sons, David (Marilyn) Horner of Dorset & Paul (Norma) Horner of Austinburg; Grandchild, Noah Love of Geneva; Sisters, Norma Beach of Bellefontaine, OH, Carol (Kenneth) Coss of Sebring, FL & Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Son, Ted M Horner; Parents; Sister, Vivian Phelps and Brother, Orville Phelps, Jr. Friends will be received 2-4:00 & 6-8:00 pm, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will 11:00 am, Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Geneva First United Methodist Church, 89 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with Rev. David Hill officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Harpersfield Cemetery in Harpersfield Twp.
