Judy Margaret Aley, age 81, of Chagrin Falls, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Arden Courts Assisted Living. She was born July 14, 1942 in Cleveland the daughter of Donald J. and Flora A. (Smith) Benham.
Judy served in the US Air Force. She worked for many years as the head librarian in New Jersey where she took great pride in her management of the county libraries. She enjoyed bus trips with her friends going to tea rooms and bird watching. She also loved the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Diane Blevins; her step-children, Dianne Rapp, Amy Curry, Stephen Aley; nieces, Julie (Allen) Fredrickson, Bonnie (Myles) Goddin and Kim (Matt) Thorne; nephews, Jeff and John Goddin, and Sean Blevins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Pam Goddin.
Funeral Services will take place at a later date at Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road in Madison with full military honors. The family suggests contributions in Judy’s name to your local library.
