Judith Lindsey Cross, age 85 of Madison, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at her home. She was born August 6, 1938, in Butler, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Lindsey. She married John Cross on August 13, 1960 in Toledo. 

Judy was a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was a loving wife,mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and to helping others in many different volunteer roles. She enjoyed traveling with her husband John and spending time at their cottage in Northern Michigan. 

Judy is survived by her children, Daniel Cross, Amy (Mark) Shafer, Katharine (Robert) Cromer; grandchildren, Rachael Cross, Jane, Sara, Robert, and Anna Cromer, Ryan and Molly Shafer, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, brothers and her son, Matthew.

 Friends and family will be received on July 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Judith’s name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
