Judith Ann "Judy" (Smith) Roper

Judith Ann "Judy" Smith Roper, 64, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at home under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice. Ms. Roper was born in 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Catherine F. Smith. She was employed as an LPN. Ms. Roper was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester and Winchester Moose Lodge 1283. Surviving are her daughters, Jacqueline Roper of Charlottesville, Virginia, Debbie Brown of San Jose, California; son, Frankie Roper of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Jayden, Kaili and Catherine Roper and Brittany Rinker; brothers, Michael Smith and Robert Smith both of Madison, Ohio; and her 4 cherished cats, Vinny, Holly, Midnight and Oreo. One son, Larry Brown preceded her in death. Friends will be received 9-10:00 am, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with the funeral service immediately following at 10:00 am.
