Juanita Potter

Juanita Potter, 90 years old, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at her home. She was born April 2, 1932 in St. Charles, VA the daughter of Noten and Polly (Bailey) Leonard.
Juanita grew up in the coal mines in Virginia and moved to Ohio in the 1950’s. She was a sassy, stubborn lady who loved everyone. She enjoyed playing Rummy, Rook and Scrabble and loved spending time in her garden. She was a member of the “Happy Hooker” Crocheting club at Perry Christian Church. She loved people and loved attending church. More recently she attended Here’s Hope Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Susie Tomasik and Lisa Dodge; grandson and adopted son, David Potter; grandchildren, Heidi Longmire, Melanie Champa, Keith Hall, Melissa, Kenny and Jesse Potter, Montana and Dakota Dodge and Dallas Daniel; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 cats who were her fur babies, Daisy, Grady and Bennie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Chalmers Darrell Potter; daughter; Linda Hall; granddaughters, Heather Braun and Cheyenne Dodge; brothers, James and Ledford Leonard; sister, Patsy Jo Surgenor and her parents.
Friends will be received 10 to 11 am Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Here’s Hope Church 6601 Chapel Road in Madison with a service immediately following at 11 am. A meal will follow after the Burial at Here’s Hope Church.

We are sad to hear of Juanita’s passing, but celebrate her entry into glory! We wish we could be there for her funeral. Sue, we are praying for you and your family as carry this empty spot in your home and heart. So happy to say, we will all see her again sitting at the feet of Jesus!
