Joseph M. Pavlovic

Joseph M. Pavlovic, age 88 of Madison, OH, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Heather Hill Community Care in Chardon. He was born September 17, 1932 in Russelton, PA to Peter and Elizabeth (Marth) Pavlovic. He married Marian V. Fleeger on September 12, 1955 (divorced in 1989). He married a second time in 1997 to Anne Esposito.
Joe, a lifelong Catholic and Christian, was an altar boy in his youth. He served in the army at the Panama Canal during the Korean War. Joe was a long-term employee of the Towmotor/Towlift as a painter, mechanic, and then truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping and fishing, was an avid gardener, and an excellent woodworker.
He is survived by his children: Melinda Grohol, Joseph John (Mary) Pavlovic, Alanna (David) Queener, Matthew (Marie) Pavlovic, and Christopher (Shannon) Pavlovic; sister Amelia Tepke; nephew Bruce Tepke; grandchildren Virginia Grohol, Carrie (Dave) Blair, Melissa Pavlovic, Dena Pavlovic, Shannon (Brian) Edwards, and Lauren (Cameron) Cornelius; great grandchildren Chloe, Owen, and Audrey Blair, and Logan Joseph Pavlovic; step-granddaughter Amy (David) Young McKinley, and many loved and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his wives Marian Pavlovic and Anne Pavlovic; his parents; brothers John and Mike Pavlovic; and sisters Eleanor Patterson, Katherine Moretti, and Rosemarie Edwards Caldwell; and step-daughter Barbara (John) Shipler.
Special thanks and gratitude are extended to longtime friends and all the neighbors on Todd Drive in Madison who assisted and befriended Joe in many ways over the years especially since the passing of his wife Anne Pavlovic in 2018: Bob and Sandy Gore, Laura Bradac, Lisa and Mary Bossart, Maureen O’Toole, and Bill Hudson.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 18, 2021, 12 pm to 2 pm, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057. Joe was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Madison, and Pastor Kelly Irish will officiate a private Celebration of Life at 11 am which will precede the friends visitation.

I knew Joe through my Dad and step Mom, Bobby and Sandy Gore. I enjoyed talking with Joe about gardening, which was something he loved. Joe will be missed.
