Joseph John Tarsovich Sr.

Joseph John Tarsovich, Sr., age 75 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at TriPoint Medical Center. Born February 12, 1939 in Johnstown, PA. He was the son of Mary (Rusin) & Julius Tarasiewicz. Joe served in the US Army as a sergeant. He retired from Caterpillar where he worked for 25 years in OH and in York, PA for 3 years, and was a UAW Local 790 representative. Joe was also a prolific crossword expert who could work the New York Times puzzle in 20 minutes. He loved to fish and play golf and was an excellent cook. Joe owned and operated Joe-Nette's Restaurant, featuring Amish-style cookin in Desert Palm Springs, CA in the early 90's. Joe was a good man, a great friend and a wonderful card player who was the life of any party. He is survived by his son, Joe (Gabi) Tarsovich, Jr.; daughters, Lisa McKee, Susan Tarsovich; brothers, Philip (Wanda) Tarsovich, Jim (Lin) Tars; sisters, Sophie Regula, Mildred Varner; nieces, Rene & Kimberly Barden and very good friends, RC Taylor & Kim Majernik. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Kollar, Lillian Brutz, Helen Golob and Jenny Leck. Friends will be received 12 – 1 PM, Monday, September 22, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057 with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 PM.
