John W. Collins, Age 76, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 Wade Park Veterans Hospital in Cleveland, OH. He was brn August 10, 1931 in Athens to Mable (Zachivous) & Calvin Collins and married Carolyn Marsch in Madison on 7/22/1984. John worked as a truck Driver for Tom & Betty Stone Trucking. He served in the Army in the Korean War, received a Purple Heart and was especially proud of his Sharp Shooter Rifleman?s Badge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with his family. He loved spending time with his brothers, sisters and family. He is survived by Wife, Carolyn Collins of Madison; Children, Randy Collins, of Mentor, OH, Robin Collins, of Minnesota, Russ Collins, of Dayton, OH, and Rhonda Collins, of Dayton, OH; Step-Children, Carol Nelson, of Ft. Myers, FL and Kim Lueders, of Purcellville, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Friends will be received 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Pastor Bob Ladigo, of Bible Baptist Church, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, Northeast Area, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44105.
