John Edward Lyons, Sr.

John Edward Lyons, Sr., age 68 of Madison, passed away comfortably at his home on Sunday, April 17, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born January 26, 1948 in Cleveland, he was the son of James Lyons, Sr. and Lillian (Kearney) Lyons. John was a 1967 graduate of Madison High School. He retired as a Local 17 iron worker after 35 years. He was an avid collector of coins and sports memorabilia. He is survived by his sons: John Lyons, Jr., and Chris (Kelly Jewell) Lyons; Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Mason, and Payton; his Father: James Lyons, Sr.; sister: Margie Snyder Lyons; brother: James Lyons, Jr.; nephews Jimmy (Angel), Rich (Tanya); niece: Laurie (Rob); great nieces: Brenna, Brittney, Emma, Stephanie, and Robbie; great nephews: Joshua, Blaine, Ricky, TJ, and Mike. He was preceded in death by his Mother Lillian. Friends and family will be received from 12 2pm on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison.
