John E. Arendas

John E. Arendas, age 90, of Twinsburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing in Madison. He was born April 29, 1927 in Cleveland to Ann (Lewalk) and John J. Arendas. He married Geraldine D. Vernick on November 12, 1949.
John was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed bowling, sports, and a good game of pinochle. He was a huge Cleveland sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine; children, David, Diane Sidoti, Donald, Denise (Brian) Scotch; grandchildren, Tony, Brian (Jacque), Scott (Sonja), Tracy (Brian), Kerianne (Evan), Tiffany (Brent), Erin (Ryan), Steven (Courtney), Megan, Marcus(Bianca); great-grandchildren, Ayden, Avery, Adelae; Joseph, Ben, Matthew; Sienna, Colt; Skyra, Angelina, Elliana; Gino; Olivia, Zoey; Xyla; and brother, Bernie (Margaret) Arendas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret (Jack) Virag, son-in-law Gene Sidoti, and daughter-in-law Karen Arendas.
A Graveside Service at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 23, 2018. The family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.

My deepest sympathy to Aunt Gerry and the children of Uncle Bud. I will miss him dearly. John and I spent many times playing pinochle with him and Aunt Gerry. Many good and wonderful memories through the years. God Bless him and may he rest in peace.
