John Chesnic, age 62, of Madison, passed away at home, April 29, 2023, while with his family. He was born in Euclid, Ohio, October 30, 1960 to C. John and Marie (Baitt) Chesnic. John married Denise Ruffner in Madison, August 19, 2000.
John joined the Air Force after graduating high school. He was the Facilities Manager for Cardinal Credit Union and a former concrete finisher for the Local 404 Union. John never passed up on an opportunity to hunt or fish, spending summers on the lake with his sister and “First Mate”, Cherie. He loved hosting holidays and any opportunity for a summer BBQ.
John is survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, John Chesnic and Amber Chesnic; grandchildren, McKenzie, Devin, Kayla, Brynn, Bentley and Abigail. He is preceeded in death by his grandson, Ryan; sister, Cherie; and parents, John and Marie.
Friends will be received 4-7pm, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison Ohio 44057. A service will follow at 7pm and will conclude with Military Honor Guard.

This is such a huge loss for this family. Your courageous struggle to live gave us so much hope but I’m relieved you are no longer in pain and can rest easy. My heart hurts to think about all of us trying to live life without you. Please watch over Denise, the kids and the rest of the family.
