John A. Small

John A. Small, age 84, of Madison Ohio, formerly of Beaver, PA passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Geauga Medical Center.  He was born on December 3, 1938 the son of Ruth (Buckley) and Milton Small. John by occupation was a resident engineer in the construction field. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and coaching little league football. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a lifetime member of the Rochester Turners. John is survived by his wife, Doris Small; daughters, Pamela (Gene) See, Julie (John) Reese, and Trudi Solis; step-children, Lee (Michelle) Bodnar, Jay Bodnar and Linda (James) Illig; grandchildren, JD, Casey, Michael, Hannah, Ian, Carli, Johnny, Nate; 8 great-grandchildren and many loved extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, John A. Small Jr; son-in-law, Richard Solis. Celebration of Life will be at Rochesters Turners, 338 Pennsylvania Avenue, Rochester, PA 15074 at 12:30 pm on April 15, 2023. Another Celebration of life will take place at Erie Shores Golf Course, 7298 Lake Road East, Madison, OH 44057 at 12:30 on April 22, 2023. Burial will take place at Beaver Valley Cemetery at a later date.
