Joanne Helen Zambalis

Joanne Helen Zambalis, age 81, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home while surrounded by her family. She was born September 7, 1934 in Cleveland to Martha (nee Kreuzberg) and James Fasimpaur. Joanne married Louis Zambalis on March 9, 1963. She was the matriarch of the family, a loving grandmother, mother and friend. She enjoyed her work as a homemaker and would often dance around the house while cleaning. She enjoyed traveling, singing and kicking Ted's butt. She is survived by sons, Lawrence Cooper, David Cooper, Mark Cooper; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Louis in 2011; her parents; sisters, Helen, Eleanor, Elsie and brothers, Fred and George. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., Madison, OH 44057. Final resting place will be All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Hospice, 7314 Industrial Park Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
