Joan Frieda McLeod

Joan Frieda (Perpar) McLeod, 88, of Mentor, Ohio passed away peacefully on Feb. 25, 2022 at the Kobacker House located in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene McLeod. Joan is survived by her children, Cheryl McLeod, Donald Wayne (Karen) McLeod, Mark McLeod; grandchildren, Meredith MacDougall (Ben Abbott), Jessica (Kyle) Euton, Matthew McLeod; great-grandchildren, Elton, Theodore and Ruby; brother, John Perpar; nephews, John and Mark Perpar; cousins, Irene Dupak and Dave Dupak; and mentee, Jan Milazzatto. Joan graduated from Collinwood High School and Ohio University. She spent her entire working career teaching kindergarten, a profession she truly loved.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling with the retired teachers association, hot fudge Sundays at Malleys, listening to Kenny G and watching LeBron James. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. until noon at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd.,Mentor, Ohio, where Joan was an active member, to be followed immediately by her Requiem Mass of Christian Burial. Final Resting Place will be North Madison Cemetery.
