Joan F. (Brooks) Perry, 82, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Cleveland. She was born October 18, 1935 to Wallace and Marion Eddy in Cleveland. Joan graduated from Mentor High School and has lived most of her life in Geneva. She served first in the U.S. Navy, and then later in the U.S. Army Reserve. For most of her life, Joan worked as a licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed reading and listening to country western music. Joan is survived by her daughters, Grace (James) Mason, Brenda Glendenning, Debra Lee (David) Katoch, Jarrett (David) Krizan, and Vikki (Tom) Grady; sons, Daniel Ray (Cheryl) Perry, Sr., Randy (Gail) Brooks and Clifford Michael Brooks. Also surviving are several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Craft and Mary Ann Merriman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ray Perry in 1996; daughters, Rebecca Joan Brooks, Marcella Perry and Debra Marie Knittle; son, Benjamin Perry; granddaughter, Randi Jo Brooks; siblings, William, Robert and Joel Eddy; and her first husband, Clifford. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a noon memorial service at Behm Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. Final resting place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva where Joan will be laid to rest with her granddaughter, Randi Jo Brooks. After services, a reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Geneva VFW post 6846.
