Joan B. Drake, age 75 of Madison, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at her home. She was born January 26, 1948 Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Robert and Claire (Greene) Smith.
Joan worked as a caregiver at AlterCare and was very passionate about her job. She adored watching birds, especially hummingbirds. She also enjoyed the Cleveland Indians yet above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Charlene Drake, Phillip “Phil” Drake; sister, Carol McGee; grandchildren, Brittany and Danielle Manypenny, Joanna Drake; and great-grandchildren, Annamarie, Emma, Caydence, Alexandra, Londyn, Alayna, Daniel, James and Colton. She is preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Cody Drake.
Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Friday, August 25, 2023 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Service will be 11 am Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., in Madison. Final Resting Place will be at North Madison Cemetery. I was so sorry to hear of Joanie’s passing. It’s been alot of years since I have seen her but that does not mean that I have forgotten her. She was a beautiful lady and I will always remember how nice she was to me. May her soul rest in the arms of our Lord and her body rest in painless peace. Till we meet again 🙏🏼💗
