Jimmy Pidala, age 26, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at UH Geneva Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV, the son of Lisa Pidala and Randall Braat.
Jimmy had a flare for cooking and was passionate about his position as a Sous Chef. An avid CAVS fan he enjoyed following the team during this historic championship season. He loved animals, especially his beloved dog Tyson. Jimmy loved people and his charismatic personality was always the largest in the room.
He is survived by his mother: Lisa Pidala of Parma; father: Randall Braat of Missouri; brothers: Rocky and Kevin Braat; sisters: Donna Hutzell and Ashley Braat; maternal grandparents: Al and Tina Pidala; paternal grandparents; James and Susan Braat; uncles: Vincent Dovico, Rino (Alda) Dovico, Ray (Toni) Braat, and Tony (Sandy) Pidala; aunt: Jennifer Braat-Swanson and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway in Geneva. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Matthias the Apostle Church, 1200 West Sprague Road in Parma with Fr. Raymond Sutter officiating. Final Resting Place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.

Just want to say how very sorry I am, to Jimmy 's mom, Lisa, and his family. God bless you and keep you… in this tragic time. My daughter, Caty, and Jimmy were friends for many years. What a beautiful, passionate, vivacious, young man, he was!!! That will never be forgotten, in my family!!! Never!!! Jimmy got his wings!!! He is looking down at all of us, at peace, finally, peace.
