Jimmy Compton

Jimmy Compton, age 84, of Perry, died July 3, 2018 at Saybrook Landing. He was born January 27, 1934 in Bluefield, WV, worked in construction as a drywall installer for many years and served with the U.S. Army. Jimmy had a healthy sense of adventure and enjoyed the outdoors. He was skilled at archery and hunting as well as fishing. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on long trips and sharing that experience with friends and family. He is survived by his wife Violet (Capps); sons Dale R., James Lee (Lynn) and Jimmy Mark (Barb) 3 grandchildren and brothers Bobby Joe and Jackie Lee (Betty) Compton. He was preceded in death by a son Shannon; 4 grandchildren; brother, Jerry and sisters Betty and Linda. Family will receive friends Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison, OH. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home and Madison Honor Guard will present military honors.
