Janet Sivon

Janet Sivon, 89, of Perry, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 31, 2026. She was born on April 28, 1937, to Harry and Bertha Lovejoy in Kayford, West Virginia.

During her working years, Janet worked as a Home Health Aide, a secretary at Techtron, and was also employed with Bailey Controls. She absolutely loved getting frozen treats with her beloved husband; Dairy Queen ice cream and frozen Cokes were some of her favorites. She also enjoyed spending time watching and feeding the birds whenever she could. She was a passionate woman, full of spunk, and adored her family and grandchildren. She also loved her dog and cat, Patches and Panda. She and her loving husband, John, spent 16 wonderful married years together.

She is survived by her husband, John Sivon; children, Theresa Miller (Dan Thomas), Ryan (Jennifer) Deaton, and Bones; grandchildren, Ruth Ann Lorenzo, Kelly Woodley, James (Grace) Hossler, Arastasia (Mike) Thompson, Ryan Deaton Jr., and Jenna Deaton; great-grandchildren, Zach, Chasity, Brandon, James, Brittany, William, Cody, and Anthony; great-great-grandchildren, Aralynne, Carter, PJ; and sister, Gayle Miller.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale Hossler; daughter, Teena Hossler; and her grandson, Randy Woodley; sisters, Elizabeth Harris, Gertie McGraw, and Ruby Clere; brothers, Clifford and Donald Lovejoy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 11AM at Perry United Methodist Church, 3875 Main Street, Perry, OH 44081. Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery.
