Janet Marie Safick, 65, of Madison, passed away January 18, 2019 after a short illness.
She was born April 18, 1953 in Solon, Ohio to Phillip and Florence Ozmun. She was a 1971 graduate of Solon High School and after graduation, she worked numerous jobs. Janet worked as a bank teller since 1996 and was employed for 21 years at Chase Bank in Madison and Perry. On August 9, 1997, she married John Safick in Madison, Ohio.
Janet was a friendly person, who would help anyone. She loved collecting things and made wooden plaques for her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Florence; brother, Danny Ozmun; daughter Erika (Rick) Cermak; and grandsons Logan, Luke and Lance Cermak. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Safick; father; and sister-in-law, Linda Ozmun.
Janet would want her friends to remember happy memories of her. No services to be announced.

I am so sorry to hear about Janet. I enjoyed working with her at Chase in Madison. She was a caring person and she was also funny. The branch would be quiet and all of a sudden she would either break out into song or a loud tired sigh. She will be missed by her friends at Chase. Lorry Parks
Janet and I met in 1979 or 80 while working at a daycare center in Solon. We shared many fun times and many sad times as true friends do. I will miss her. Rest In Peace dear Janet.
