Janet Ilene Bowser

Janet Ilene Bowser, age 84, of Geneva, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at UH Geneva Medical Center. She was born August 23, 1935 in Geneva, OH, to Belle (Thompson) and Wilbert Coy, Sr. She was one of fifteen children born to her parents. Janet married Earnest Bowser on March 3,1962 in Geneva, Ohio.
Janet was a 1954 graduate of Spencer High School in Geneva. When growing up Janet owned many horses and still appreciated the view of a beautiful horse until the end. She always said the only true thing she could ever claim that was truly hers, was her three sons Cliff, Jody, and Tim. Over the years she enjoyed not only watching her sons play sports but was an avid Indians fan. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and also numerous other neighborhood children through the years. Janet enjoyed baking and cooking for everyone that she knew. She always knew that her pies, cookies, tuna macaroni salad and potato salad could bring everyone and anyone to her house and to family gatherings. Janet had a heart of gold and always put her family before herself.
She is survived by sons, Cliff (Jane) Bowser, Jody (Holly) Bowser, and Tim (Angie Crace) Bowser; 9 grandchildren, Celia, Hannah, Jessica (Odle), Paige, Jake (Courtney), Torey, Cortnee, Miranda, and Seth; 5 great-grandchildren, Julian, Bridgette, Kayden, Rose, and Nora; siblings, Doris Shahan, Roberta (Robert) Weaver, and William (Jeannette) Coy, brothers-in-law Eugene Legg and Harley Bowser, and sisters-in-law Betty Bowser, Juanita Lowdermilk, and Connie Hinebaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest, parents, siblings Richard (Dorthy) Coy, Samuel (Mary Fay) Coy, Eleanor (Jack) Tinney, Louella (Robert) Richards, Wilbert M. JR (Mary) Coy, Guy Coy, Claude (Shirley) Coy, Sydney (Patricia) Coy, Joyce Legg, Leora (Russell) Bigham, and Sandra (Herbert) Trask, brothers-in-law Alvie Shahan, David Bowser, Rodney Bowser, George Lowdermilk, and Ron Hinebaugh, and sister-in-law Walley Bowser.
During the current pandemic, a private family Graveside Service will be observed. Family will have a celebration of life that will be announced at a later date.
