Jane Cooley Taylor

Jane Cooley Taylor, age 77, of Madison, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 24, 1944 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Wesley and Alma Mae (Renz) Cooley. She married James Taylor on August 5, 1967 in Wilkinsburg, PA. Jane was a member of Crossroads Community Church for 30 years, where she attended numerous bible studies. She worked for Broadfield Manor Nursing Home for many years as an RN and enjoyed Nursing Home Ministries. Jane loved to sing in the Sweet Adeline’s. She was a Director of the Cherub Choir at Chapel United Methodist Church. She was an advocate and sponsor for Compassion International. Jane was known for her strong faith and passing out religious tracts for the path to salvation. She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Andrew (Tracey) Taylor and Matthew (Stacy) Taylor; daughter, Janet (Mike) Taylor-Levin; 6 grandchildren; and her sister, Lois (Jim) Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family will be received 11 am Saturday July 10, 2021 at Crossroads Community Church, 6685 Middle Ridge Road in Madison with a service to immediately follow at Noon.
