James Alton Kuhn

James Alton Kuhn, age 82, of Thompson, Ohio, formerly of Painesvile, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Painesville, Ohio. He was born May 16, 1936 in Amma, WV., the son of Maggie (Murphy) and Hobart Kuhn. James married Garnet Mae Edgell on August 10, 1955.
James loved music, was a natural musician, and played mostly string instruments, including the guitar and banjo and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Perry.
He is survived by his sons, James R. (Debbie) Kuhn, Timothy (Joan) Kuhn; grandchildren, Bridget (Scott) Kronik, Jim (Jolene) Kuhn, Cory (Cecelia) Kuhn, Lacy Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Ashlee Kronik, and Cole Kuhn; brother, Billie Kuhn; sisters, Madia Kline, and Connie Mangine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Garnet Mae; brother, Herbert Kuhn; sisters, Peggy Slater, Gladia Swiger; and his parents.
Friends will be received 5-7p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 26, 11:00 a.m. with one hour visitation prior to service in the funeral home. Final resting place will be Perry Cemetery. Contributions can be made in James honor to the Hospice of The Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
