J. Larry Shindell

J. Larry Shindell, age 67 of Madison, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at University Hospitals in Cleveland. Born August 24, 1945 in Lancaster, PA to Doris C. (Bomberger) & Charles L. Shindell, Jr. Larry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison and was member of the Madison Historical Society. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Lake County YMCA. After retiring as a marketing executive, Larry enjoyed remodeling and woodworking, especially creating furniture in the Shaker style. In his work with the Historical Society he remodeled several century homes on Main Street in Madison. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Shindell; son, Robert and his wife, Christy Shindell of Austin, TX; grandson John Preston "Jack" Shindell and a brother Charles L. (Marge Graas) Shindell, III of Lancaster, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Service will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6345 Chapel Road, Madison, Ohio with Pastor Stephen M. Fisher officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment of ashes will be at Penryn Cemetery, Manheim, PA. Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River Street, Madison, OHIO 44057.
