Iva (Pearl) Argo
May 1, 1939 ~ February 5, 2018
Iva (Pearl) Argo, age 78 of Geneva, passed away on Monday, February 5th, 2018. She was born on May 1, 1939 to Gessie Gertrude Akins and William Wesley Scott in Grundy County, TN. On April 28, 1957, Iva married the love of her life, Otis Argo, and celebrated 52 wonderful years together.
Iva had her own sense of fun; she liked country music, tennis and game shows. She attended New Lyme Baptist Church. Also, Iva was skilled at quilting, cooking and canning. In doing so, she kept her family warm and well fed. She cared for her husband, her home and her children. She cared, and will be greatly missed.
Iva is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Pat) Maudet; sons, Ken Argo and Danny (Sandy) Argo; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth (Billy) Pitmon, Alice (John) Underwood and Deborah (David) Boyd; and brother, Douglas Scott. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Otis; son, Gary Bryan Argo; parents; sisters, Barbara Carr and Linda George; and brothers, Charles and Robert Scott.
Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. A service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Bill Aiken. Burial will follow the service at Rome Center Cemetery.
