Irene Rosele (Kisner) Landies, age 88, resident of Chardon, Ohio and formerly of Madison, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Heartland of Mentor. Irene was born April 5, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to Harriet (Nerling) & Luther Kisner. She married Cameron Roxburgh Landies on January 5, 1945. Irene served in the Women's Army Corps during WWII stationed with the Third Air Force at the Will Rogers Army Air Force Base in Oklahoma where she met her husband. She was a caretaker to her family and friends and enjoyed her creative hobbies that included gardening, quilting and sewing. She is survived by: Daughter, Maureen Landies of Chardon, OH Daughter-In-Law, Nancy Landies of Milwaukee, WI Granddaughter, Faye Otero of Minneapolis, MN Great-grandchildren, Claudia & William Douglas She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and son, Douglas Cameron Landies. Friends will be received 2-4:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Chardon Municipal Cemetery, 601 Park Ave, Chardon, OH, Rev. Barbara Holzhauser officiating.
