Irene Rhoton

Irene Rhoton, age 97, formerly of Brecksville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Carriage Green Assisted Living in Milford, CT. She was born July 30, 1924 in Painesville, the daughter of Everett J. and Mirabelle (Elliot) Behm. She married Robert Boyd Rhoton on April 23, 1949 in Painesville.
Irene worked as a Registered Nurse for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile, after raising children. She enjoyed investments, socializing, playing the piano, exercising, exploring the Internet and traveling to historic places. Irene kept her
childlike fascination of the world and love of music to the end.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Edward), grandson, David, and sisters, Marilyn and Lois Ann. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son Douglas and her grandson Alexander.
Family will be received on Thursday, August 19 from 11-12pm at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
A Graveside Service will follow at 2 pm, at the Brecksville Cemetery, 9012 Highland Dr., in Brecksville.

To Irene’s family, Please accept my deepest sympathies at the passing of Irene. I had the pleasure of meeting her while she was a resident at Carriage Green in Milford, CT. I was her housekeeper for awhile until my schedule changed. Irene was a phenomenal lady, she had a way about her that would make you feel so special.
