Irene Mason, age 80, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the Lantern of Madison. She was born July 3, 1942 in Green County, PA, the daughter of Archie and Dorothy Louise (Utt) Gaines. She married Roger Mason in Green County on May 13, 1968.
Irene worked as a production supervisor for the Rayon Plant. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking and traveling with the John Roberts Group.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roger; sister, Hattie Roskelly; and many friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny, Ed, Robert, Raymond, Bill, and Jimmy Gaines.
Friends will be received Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
