Irene Lamos Lawson DeBauche, age 87, of Madison, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Concord Village Nursing and Rehab. She was born November 29, 1936 in Painesville, OH, to Irene (Creed) and Byron Lamos.
Irene attended school in Fairport, OH where she lived until the 11th grade. She worked in retail in Painesville for 29 years and retired from Perry Schools in 1997. Irene really enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandchildren; often having them spend the night on the weekends.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Thurlene) Lawson; daughter, Kathy (Robert) Leasure; grandchildren, Andrew Lawson, Adam (Jessica) Lawson, Teresa Hobbs and Brandon Hobbs and Chuck (Kathleen) Lawson; great-grandchildren, Kacie, Kristin and Kimberly Lawson, Mayson Hobbs, Vander Hobbs-Rinehart, Leyla, Mallory, Savannah and Mya Hobbs, Henry, Eloise and Adelaide Lawson; great-great-grandchild Walker, (due in July); and many loved nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim DeBauche; her parents; brothers, Byron and Robert Lamos; sisters Helen Manninen, Ruth Mackey, Katherine Ahlberg, Florance Tyler, Barbara Rolls, Betty Lamos and Nancy Rippin.
A Special thank you to Hospice, especially Sherry, Carmen and Christina for their loving care. In Lieu of flowers, Irene asks that everyone plants a rose bush in memory of her. A Graveside Service will take place at Noon on April 10th at South Ridge Cemetery (Rt 84) in Perry. Behm Family Funeral Home of Madison is assisting the family.
