Ione "Toni" (Waters) DiMarino

Ione “Toni” (Waters) DiMarino, age 86, of Geneva, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born May 21, 1934 in Medina, NY, the daughter of Valantine and Marion (Smith) Waters. She married Ferd DiMarino on March 10, 1950 in Cleveland, OH.
Ione worked as a school bus driver for Geneva and owned and operated her own dog grooming business. Later she worked as a laborer for LTV and retired from J&L Steel after 10 years.
She enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Cardenas, Patty Ann Kovacs, Mary Ann (Duane) Hook, Tony (Barbara) DiMarino, Gina (Danny) Knapp; grandchildren, Stephani Jarvis, Denise McCracken, Andrew Cardenas, Jennifer Feher, Jason Hook, Dan DiMarino, Aaron DiMarino, Ryan DiMarino, Ben Imburgia, Joseph Imburgia, TJ Imburgia, Nicki Charo, and Joseph Knapp; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Waters; and sister, Marion Elmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferd; her parents; son-in-law, Kevin Kovacs; and several brothers and sisters.
Private Family Services will be observed. The Behm Family Funeral Home of Geneva is assisting the family at this time.

Aunt Ione was so much fun always let her freak flag fly. We love her so much have so many wonderful memories.

I loved Toni she was so much fun! I remember when we would get together and sing and dance. She loved to sing! What a great person she was and a great mother. She will be missed. RIP You are loved!
That smile and positive personality will surely be missed.. Visiting the farm, playing cards and yard sale treasure hunting are all the fun things we were blessed to experience together.
