Inez M. Reeder

Inez M. Reeder, age 93, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Geneva Village Retirement Community. She was born January 26, 1923 in Dorset, Ohio to Leta (Kelley) and Albert Mellinger. Inez married Thomas Reeder in Dorset, Ohio on August 21, 1943.
Inez was a 1941 graduate of Dorset High School. She was the Food Service Director at Geneva School System for 37 years and also baked and decorated cakes for weddings, graduations and other special events. She sewed and did alterations for Garricks' Clothing Store. An active member of Geneva First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, she loved to play the piano and organ. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and Ohio State fan and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Keith (Susan) Reeder of Ashtabula, Lynda (Cliff) Henryof Harpersfield, Patricia Brummitt of Zellwood, FL; 6 grandchildren, Jeff, James, Tom, Carrie (Patrick), Jon, and David(Andrea); 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her parents, and son-in-law, Samuel Brummitt.
Friends will be received 5 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Rev. O. Bruce Hitchcock will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be Harpersfield Cemetery.
