Homer Proud

Homer Proud, age 89, of Madison, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015, surrounded by loved ones at Tri-Point Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1926 in Rolling Prairie Indiana. Homer married Catherine Simpson in LaPorte, Indiana on June 10, 1947. He worked at Lubrizol in Painesville before he retired. Homer is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Marvin) Breedlove of Perry; Kathy (Gary) Welch of Austinburg; sons, Alan (Donna) Proud and Mark Proud both of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Sheila, Craig, Keith, Tammy and Chris Breedlove, Brian and Matthew Welch, Debbie Proud and Mike Proud; several great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine son, Steven Proud; grandsons, Chad, Joshua, and Tommy. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Lake Erie Church of God, 3050 Antioch Rd., Madison. Calling hours will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 11 A.M.
