Helen E. Neuman

Helen E. Neuman, age 91 of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at The Sanctuary of Geneva. Born May 21, 1921 in Fairport, OH, to Mary (Palo) & John Erickson, she married Frederick Neuman on November 5, 1942 in Mt. Hope, Ohio. Helen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneva, where she had been active in the Altar Guild, Women's Guild, and many other activities through the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and was a sweet, caring, gentle woman with a great sense of humor. Her last years were spent at The Sanctuary of Geneva, where she enjoyed many activities and the friendships of the wonderful residents there and the dedicated, caring staff. She is survived by her brothers, David (Nettie) Erickson and Jack (Verna) Erickson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-mother, Tyyne; sisters, Joan Bevan, Lillian Erickson & Elma Erickson-Guch. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 811 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church. Final resting place will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio. Contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Preschool, P O Box 500, Geneva, OH 44041.
