Helen C. Preston

Helen C. Preston, age 88 of Geneva, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Geneva, Ohio. She was born on February 23, 1930 in Geneva, Ohio the daughter of Josephine Tarantina and Thomas Mitchell. She married Jack Preston in Ripley, NY on November 13, 1948. Helen was a member of VFW Auxiliary #6846 of Geneva and also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2243 in Geneva. Helen enjoyed playing Wii Bowling and Bingo with her friends at Geneva Village. She was the proud winner of a certificate for Wii Bowling. Helen had a passion for reading books of any type but her biggest enjoyment was living life and time spent with family and friends. She is survived by son, Jack (Janet) Preston; daughters, Gale (Gary) Leider, and Catherine (Gary) Wludyga; grandchildren, Jeff (Anissa) Preston, Jennifer (George) Preston-Butz, Jared Preston, Paul (Dawn) Bushnell, Casey (Dan) Osborne, Joshua and (Jenn) Wludyga, Stacey (Tim) Parks, Becky Leider, Gary (Megan) Leider; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Donato, Rose McGraw; niece, Jan; and nephew, Jim. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Preston; and her parents. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH. 44041 with a service 11 a.m. August 31, 2018 at the funeral home. Final Resting place will be Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 3140 E. Center St., Kingsville, Ohio 44048.
