Hazel A Henderson

Hazel A. Henderson, age 64, of Madison, passed away Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. She was born June 24, 1949 in Lanark, Scotland to Janet (Donaldson) and Thomas Henderson. She married Steve Henderson in Kirtland on May 10, 1969. Hazel was the owner of Henderson Travel Service, which was in business for over 22 years. She won numerous awards as a travel professional and her travel agency was voted News Herald " Best in Lake County". Of course, Hazel loved to travel and was better able to serve her clients by doing so. She was active in the Madison YMCA, enjoying swimming and spinning. Hazel was an animal lover and award winning breeder of Springer Spaniels. She loved cooking and enjoyed a good glass of wine. She also loved to read a good book. She is survived by her husband, Steve of Madison; daughter, Stefanie Henderson of Seattle, WA; son, Brian (Angie) Henderson of Concord, NC; grandson, Gavin Henderson; sister, Liz (Howard) Holman of Chicago, IL and dear friends Carol & Bob Lipus. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private family services will be observed. Hazel's family suggests that people donate to a charity of their choice, or the Madison Food Center, 1954 Hubbard Road, Madison, OH 44057, rather than send flowers.
