Harlyn Dale Stoltz, Sr., age 91 of Newbury, formerly of Montville, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born on Stoltz Road in Harpersfield at home on July 15, 1923, to Elizabeth (Behrendt) & Guy Wilman Stoltz. After the early death of his mother Elsie, Harlyn stepped into the role of caregiver for his siblings. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a bus driver for Montville Elementary School, then worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation and retired from R W Sidley in 1988 after 32 years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Local 436. Harlyn loved the outdoors and took care of the family dairy farm. He was an avid collector of toy trains and loved feeding the birds, cutting wood and caring for his lawn. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Noreen Stoltz of Newbury; children, Harlyn Dale (Marianne) Stoltz, II of Chardon, Wayne (Brenda) Stoltz of Madison, Dennis (Patricia) Stoltz of Natural Bridge, VA, Lynn (Debra) Stoltz of Madison, Linda (Daniel) McFarland of Thompson; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Steven, Michael, Dennis Jr., Ryan, Matthew, Andrew, David; great-grandchildren, Blakeley, Isabella, Rebekah Lyn, Annie, Karolen, Cheyenne, Savannah, Emily, Jacob, Isaac, Sidney; step-daughter, Dorothy Bright of Newbury, Janet Ramsey of Mingo Junction, OH, Judith (Todd) Barrett of Newbury, Linda Yates of Rosedale, IN; 10 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold, Wilman & Lyle Stoltz; sister, Marcie Terry. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frieda; parents; sister, Alta Mae Stoltz. Friends will be received 9-11 AM Saturday, October 18, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bob Higgins, of Here's Hope Baptist Church, officiating. Final resting place will be at Trumbull Center Cemetery, Trumbull Twp., OH.
