Hallie Acord, age 92, of Madison, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at David Simpson Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 31, 1930 in Maben, West Virginia, the daughter of Enoch and Minerva (Dunivant) Sizemore. She married Jack Acord on October 19, 1953 in West Virginia.
Hallie was a homemaker, and adored her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Phil) Watson of Ravenna, Patricia (Dave) Welch of Madison, and Jackie (John) Spaid of Madison; 5 grandchildren: Amy, Carley, Greg, Rachel, and Chase; great-grandson Aiden; and great-granddaughters, Addison and Molly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Acord; her parents; and her siblings.
Private family services will be held.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I will miss your Mom so much! She was a very sweet lady whom I had the pleasure of getting to know her these last few months. I enjoyed spending time talking with her and helping care for her. And most of all, seeing her smiling face when I came into work. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

She shared her love of baking with me at an early age. I remember spending many nights at her house and baking cookies and cakes. She loved to share her desserts and always had something delicious to snack on. She even sent me desserts after I moved away. She was such a wonderful person and she will be missed.
