Grant E. Boggs
October 8, 1962 ~ August 6, 2019
Grant “Papa” E. Boggs, age 56, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Lake West Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born October 8, 1962 in Charleston, WV the son of Noel Sr. and Lois “Ayers” Boggs. He met his best friend, Annie Moses, in March of 1999 and what began as a friendship, became a loving marriage on December 28, 2012.
He was a plumber by trade, and worked in natural gas transmissions as a foreman at Prusa in Mentor. Grant loved to hunt and fish; was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed 4 wheeling, snowmobiling and basically anything you could think of that a “redneck” would do. Following in his father’s footsteps, plumbing was Grant’s life! He was blunt, honest, had no filter, loved to swear, and was one of the most loving guys you could ever meet. He loved his grandchildren dearly and would even call off work to go “Vroom Vroom” with them. Grant loved going to concerts with his son Seth and gambling with wife Annie.
He is survived by his wife, Annie; children, Seth Boggs, Cody (Ashley Morris) Brewster, Miranda Boggs, Megan Boggs, Holly (Steven) Yoe; grandchildren, Hayden Brewster, Charlene Yoe, Josephine Yoe and Maxine Yoe; parents, Noel and Lois Boggs; sister, Rebecca (Scott) Anderson; brothers, Timothy (Bridget) Boggs and Noel (Crystal) Boggs, Jr; and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Boggs.
Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to the entire Boggs family, I had the pleasure of hunting with Grant many times and always enjoyed it and he will be deeply missed by many.
Annie, UncleBuddy, Aunt Lois and family heaven has just gained a great angel we will met again on the other side. I loved him like a brother, he has helped me out so many times. My his memories live on. I love you all….?
Growing up with Grant was the best. You were my brother that I never had ( sharing everything ie fishing , hunting and trapping) I could go on like stopping by the B&R bar playing a game of pool or 2 while your dad had a snort or two then we would go hunting the railroad tracks for rabbits with his dads 2 beagles . You also loved coming to my house as a kid raiding my parents pantry ( owning a grocery store it was packed full ) baking brownies or pizza and especially my moms homemade meatballs . My sleepovers at your house were equally as fun playing outside in the pasture and rooting around in the endless boxes of nuts and bolts and occasionally coming across a .22 cal round or two and taping it to the end of our BB guns ( yes we were reckless haha ) then holding it as far away from us as possible and letting it fire. Waiting for Saturday morning was pretty amazing at your house when it came to moms cooking. Homemade tomato gravy over homemade biscuits or waiting patiently for the cornbread in the cast iron to come out of the oven. Yes you and I loved food as much as we did everything else we did together. I could go on but I won’t but let me say this Grant , you’ve got the biggest largemouth on the end of your pole and the biggest buck hanging on your wall or the best trapping season ever….. When I call you my best friend I mean it and when I say I’ll miss you forever I will. Thanks for being you Grant . Your friend Doug
To my best friend and husband I can't even imagine life without you. I was truly blessed when you came in my life. There will not be a day that goes by that I won't be missing you. I wish someone would pinch me so I can wakeup from this nightmare but I know that you are watching over me and the kids. We will always have you in our hearts. You will never ever be forgotten. I LOVE YOU!
My deepest condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
