Gloria C. Harley

Gloria C. Harley, age 86, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Geneva Retirement Village in Geneva. She was born March 2, 1927 in Cleveland to Mina K. (Kloss) & John Darr. Gloria was a graduate of Harvey High School in Painesville. An active member of the Painesville Church of Christ with a passion for music, she had a beautiful voice, and loved singing in the choir. She also sang in the Grannie Band in Painesville. She had a kind and gentle nature and was always concerned for the people in her life. A love of children she often played the role as the neighborhood mom. She is survived by her sons, Roger, Kenneth, and Curt Smith; grandchildren, Sean, Dana, Larry (Adrienne), Barry (Mary), Meghan, Christopher, Jason, Kevin, and Jennifer; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother Garth (Judy) Price; sister, Sylvia (Bernard) Rabinovitz; and brother-in-law, Ralph Rees. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Harley; daughter, Cathy Walker; son, Roy E. Smith; and sister, Elaine Rees. Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Brunsman of Geneva Church of Christ will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
