Glade A. Trumbull, age 95, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville, TN. He was born February 19, 1913 in South Harpersfield Township to the late Arthur L. and Henrietta (Stoltz) Trumbull. Also preceding him in death are his wife of 63 years, the former Florence Erickson, whom he married on March 8, 1936, and sisters Nathalie Barrett and Dorothy Heath. He is survived by his daughter Sonja (James) Berger and granddaughter Christine (Wes) Crow, all of Knoxville, TN, and granddaughter Kayleen (Stephen) Self of Nashville, TN, great-grandchildren, Alyson and Hannah Crow, and Kristopher and Kendra Self. He is also survived by nieces Karen Anderson Rees of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Carol Anderson Gundersen of Westlake, Ohio, and nephew James Trumbull Heath of Austinburg, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Coast Reserve during World War II,, and worked most of his years for the Diamond Alkali (Ohio), and Diamond Shamrock (Wilmington, NC). He also owned and operated Frizzell?s Restaurant in Chagrin Falls, OH for several years. He is a member of the Pine Valley United Methodist Church in Wilmington, NC, He is also a life member of Masonic Temple Lodge #28, Painesville, OH, Scottish Rite Bodies, Wilmington, NC, and St. John?s Lodge # 1 of Free and Accepted Masons, Wilmington, NC. Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, May 9, 2008 at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Graveside Service will be Saturday, May 10 at 10:00 am at Trumbull Center Cemetery in Trumbull Township, Ohio with the Rev. Larry Wade officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Trumbull?s memory to the Salvation Army, 409 North Broadway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37917.
