Gertrude “Trudy” Stamper, age 92, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Rae Ann Nursing Home. She was born August 17, 1928 in Willoughby, the daughter of Phillip and Gertrude (Mayerhoffer) Weisbarth. Trudy was a Member of Assumption Catholic Church for many years where she was very active and involved. She loved caring for her family and never had a negative word to say. She was always encouraging and the kindest and most gentle person there was. She is survived by daughters, Anna Stern, Diana (John) Dean, Sharon Bessey, Dorrie Carle, Deb Goodrich, Trudy Humphrey; Son, Harry (Donna) Stamper; 18 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Todd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison; son, Lawrence; sisters, Eleanor Fortier and Margaret Hall. Friends will be received 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. Guests are required to follow current pandemic guidelines, wear masks and practice social distancing. A Funeral Mass will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 W.   1. Mrs. Stamper was one of the sweetest ladies I ever met. She will always be remembered for her gentle smile and kindness. I am sure she left her family with many wonderful memories of her time with them and I hope those memories will brighten their lives for many years to come. My condolences to the entire family.
