Gerald R. Edixon

Gerald R. Edixon, age 91 of Geneva, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the UH Geneva Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1922 in Ashtabula to Abigail (Westcott) & Ralph Edixon. Gerald worked as a bricklayer for local unions in Ashtabula and Lake County. He was a 1940 graduate of Ashtabula High School. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was a member of the Geneva VFW Post #6846. Gerald also was a member of the Geneva Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his sons, Gregory Edixon of Pittsburgh, PA, Doug (Fran) Edixon of Mentor, Brian (Ginny) Edixon of Sheffield, OH, Scott (Laura) Edixon of Madison; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Edixon; parents; sisters, Margie Jones and Colleen Hathaway. Friends will be received 11AM-12 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with a funeral service following at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
