Gerald "Jerry" Sisson

Gerald F. "Jerry" Sisson, 70, of Madison, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Metro Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Chardon High School, Class of 1963. Jerry served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1967 after serving in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life Rose M. Austin on December 14, 1970 in Painesville. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, riding ATV's and hunting. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and family. Mr. Sission is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rose M. Sisson; sons, Jeffry (Tina) and Matthew (Dee); grandchildren, Brittany (Joe) and Jeffry and Scarlett; great-grandson, Skyler; brother, Floyd (Gladys) Bowditch; and several nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Floyd Bowditch; sister, Robin Bowditch in infancy; and grandparents, Charles M. and Leta B. Sisson. In keeping with Jerry's wishes, private family services were observed. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Jerry may be given to the Lakeside Baptist Church, 306 Fairport-Nursery Road., Painesville, Ohio, 44077.
