Gerald F. Brunner, age 93 passed away November 10, 2021 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born August 18, 1928 in Erie, PA to Frank and Alice Brunner.
Gerald worked for Caterpillar in Mentor until 1984. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors that included hunting; and fishing and boating on Lake Erie. He also enjoyed cabinet making.
Gerald leaves behind children Connie (Dan) Johnson, Thomas R. Knauss, Kathleen (James) Samarin; grandchildren, Kelly Samarin and James Samarin, Young Gallo, Matt Johnson; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his parents; grandson, Mark; and sister, Janice Thompson.

Jerry was a great friend to my dad, Bill Shipitalo, who also retired from Catepillar. Remembering them both going after the big ones on Lake Erie together. My dad passed away in 2015.
