George F. Newland Jr.

George F. Newland Jr., age 86, of Madison, passed away peacefully at Madison Health Care on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was born on March 12, 1936 in Cleveland, to Carol J. (Smith) and George F. Newland, Sr. He married Julia A. Kazsmer on January 30, 1959.
George proudly served in the U.S. Army based in Germany during the Korean War from 1955 to 1956. He was a member of American Legion Post 112.
George is survived by son, Timothy L. Lisa (Tiede) Newland; daughter, Darlene A. (Newland) Charles "Butch" L. Cline; grandson, Charles L. Cline II; granddaughter, Stephanie C. Cline; sisters, Carol A. (Newland) Kazsmer, brother, William (Newland) Bemis and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia A. Newland; parents; sister, Narda A. (James) (Newland) Platt; brother-in-law, John F. Kazsmer; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Ellie Newland; and sister-in-law, Fran Bemis.
Friends will be received from 5-7 PM on Monday, January 30, 2023 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 31st at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.

I will miss you dad, you are my best friend , the only person I could in my heart trust for anything , I could always count on you dad , I will feel all alone in this world with out you , I learned a lot from you dad and all your experiences you taught me , your devoted son Tim , I hope some day we will be together again .
