George E. Protzman, 84, of Perry, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, OH Born January 30, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio to Mamie (Wolf) & Victor Protzman and married Carol Ransom on November 9, 1942. Retired in 1974, after 31 years as an operator at Diamond Shamrock . Memberships and Affiliations: Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Enjoyed working around his home. He is survived by Wife, Carol Protzman of Perry; Daughter, Sandra Trapp of Harpersfield; Sons, Dale (Patricia) Protzman of Chalottsville, VA, Dennis (Lynda) Protzman of Leroy; Grandchildren, Corey Trapp, Jerry Protzman, Michael (Tammi)Protzman, Ann (Scott) Cooper; 4 Great Grandsons and 1 Great Granddaughter; Brother,Eugene (Rose) Protzman of Painesville; Sister, Marvene Pettit of Madison; Many nieces & nephews He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother, Louis Private graveside services were held at Perry Cemetery in Perry.
