Gayla L. Engle, age 75, of Geneva passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Rae Ann Nursing Home. She was born March 20, 1941 in Steubenville, Ohio the daughter of Margarite (Morgan) and Kermit Spencer, Sr. Gayla was a graduate of Thompson High School class of 1959. She retired from Lakeland Nursing Home. Gayla was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Harpersfield. She was dedicated to her family, church and work. She is survived by her daughters, Claudia (Jerry) Talbot II, Jennifer (Bruce) Engle-Burlingame; grandchildren, Weston (Miranda) Furman, Danielle (Anthony) Sanflipo, Jonathon Furman, Jerry Talbot III, Jason Talbot; and great-grandchildren Riley, Spencer and Jace; Sisters, Kerma Darlene Fordyce and Evelyn Harris; brother, Kermit (Gilda) Spencer II; and many nieces and nephews.. Preceding Gayla in death are her parents, sister, Betty Zehe; and brother, David Spencer. Friends will be received Monday, March 6 from 12 pm to 2 pm at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, OH.   3. I was fortunate to become a member of the family and get to know Gayla. We shared many stories about Danielle and Anthony and the rest of the family. She always had me laughing and welcomed me and my son to her family and her church. Thank you Gayla you are loved and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to all her family and friends.
