Gary P. Groel, Jr.

Gary P. Groel, Jr., of Geneva passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015. He was born on August 24, 1977 in Corry, Pennsylvania to Gary P. Groel, Sr., and the late Mildred M. (nee Jones) Groel. Gary enlisted in the United States Marine Corps., where he served proudly and was awarded a Purple Heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Gary loved spending time with his children and his nieces. He is survived by his father, Gary P. Groel, Sr.; children, Hunter, Hope and Luke; sisters, Keri (Evan) Jahn and Lori (Les) Jackson; nieces, Deidre, Alexis, Raegan and Makenna and Chrissy, Alicia, Valerie and Taylor; mother of his children, Joy Groel; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Gary was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents; aunt, Dorothy Groel; uncle, Carl Morton; and his best friend, Jeremy Meerhoff. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Behm Family Funeral Home 175 S. Broadway St., Geneva. Family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to his family.
