Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I am sorry for your loss. I remember Gary growing up. He and his wife came to my mother’s 80th birthday party. He flew to Atlanta. This was such a surprise for mother. I remember him being so much fun. You are in my prayers.

  2. Gary was a wonderful person, always smiling. His conversations up in Fellowship Hall after Church were mostly about golfing. or a fishing trip and his vacations at Coronado. One fishing trip a dolphin attempted to jump in to the back of the boat !! Gary sang in our Choir at Church, hardly ever missed. We got a quartet together once and sang some Gaither tunes and I remember Gary was feeling uneasy about doing this, but we talked him into singing and he did just fine. We will all miss Gary !

  3. My condolences to the entire Toth family. I have known and worked with Gary for many years. He has always been an advocate, industry leader and overall champion for those individuals with ID/DD that could not speak for themselves. The industry has truly lost a great leader and trendsetter. May he rest in peace.

  4. I never had the pleasure of meeting Papa Gary myself. I have however met his Son Aslam. So in a way i have met him. If he’s anything like Adam, which, I’m sure it’s the other way around. Papa Gary is still & will always be one Amazing & One of a kind Human being
Rest In Peace Papa Gary. You are & will always be missed & in our hearts 🙏🌹🙏

  5. I am so sorry to hear about Gary’s passing and please accept my sincere condolences and know my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Toth and related family.

I always enjoyed the times, even though there were few, of talking with Gary as he was a sincere, kind and had a great sense of humor. I have fond memories of the time Gary went to the University of Georgia to earn his Masters Degree and fun times cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Gary will certainly be missed by his direct family and all his distant relatives and may he rest in peace.

  6. I offer my sincere condolences to Gary’s family and friends. He was a wonderful colleague in the developmental disabilities field. He truly cared about his staff and the individuals they all served. He was a joy to be around as he always made others smile with his clever quips and lightheartedness. I regret that I am unable to attend the funeral or the wake but want you to know how much Gary meant and still means to the DD community. A great colleague AND friend.

  7. To the extended Toth family please accept my condolences. I worked with Gary for nearly 30 years on various committees within the developmental disability industry. He always had a passion for serving individuals with disabilities and was an ongoing advocate. He was always calm in those State of Ohio meetings but appreciated his sense of humor in those parking lot conversations. Great guy, big heart and left a lasting legacy for others to follow. God Bless!

  8. Although this is a very sad time for all of us who knew and loved Gary, he has left behind a legacy that is a powerful testimony to who he was. May the many wonderful memories of Gary comfort you in the days ahead. I was thinking of all the times we were together over the years, and what a kind, compassionate, and loving person he was. He gave me my first ride on a motorcycle and it was my last!
Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Healing Blessing, Andrea and Don Sack.
    Nyugodjon békében dear cousin Gary.

  9. My deepest sympathy to all of Gary’s family, friends, and associates. I had the privilege to know Gary for many years through our work in the DD field. Compassionate advocate for people served, leader, mentor and influencer, Gary will be missed, but his life’s work continues through others. Blessings during this difficult time to all touched by this loss.

  10. Gary was a great leader to me and I admired his faith too. I’m saddened by his passing. My prayers are with Fran and the rest of Gary’s family. The world’s light is less bright today.

  11. Oh Fran, my heart aches for you. I am so sorry I was unable to be there to hug you at Gary’s wake and memorial service, but know that my prayers have been with you since receiving the devastating phone call that Gary had passed. Although I did not know Gary well, it was very obvious that he was a family man of great faith, integrity, and compassion, a true gem. I hope his memory and the love extended to you and your family will comfort you during this difficult time. My condolences to you, Gary’s family, and all who knew and loved him. I will be in touch. Love, Karen

  12. I worked at Grand Manor years ago. Gary truly cared for the residents and staff. He bought them gifts for Christmas out of his own funds. Staff only had to work four-hour shifts at holidays, and we got to settle our own hours. He appreciated his employees. It was a great place to work, and the staff and residents appreciated him
