Garnet H. Menough

Garnet H. "Skip" Menough, Age 63, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center on Monday, September 20, 2010 surrounded by his family.
Born November 7, 1946 in Wellsville, Ohio to Gertrude (Eisenhuth) & Howard W. Menough he married Ana Maria on June 4, 2008 in Plymouth.
Skip worked as an electrician for over 40 years.
He was a member of the IBEW Local 762 for over 20 years, was an instructor for the Apprenticeship Program and later owned and operated his own business. He was a 1965 graduate of Geneva High School and also attended Kent State University. He was past president the Rotary Club of Geneva where he was honored with the Paul Harris Award and also past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2243. He was also involved with the Geneva Community Center, Civil Service Commission for the City of Geneva, Director and Coach of Geneva Youth Sports, Basketball Referee for the Ohio High School Athletic Association and Parade Chairman of the Geneva Grape Jamboree. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and golfing.
He is survived by Wife, Ana Maria Menough of Ashtabula; Children, Steven (Johanna) Menough of Mentor; Douglas (Jennifer) Menough of Geneva & Todd (Tracy) Menough of Saybrook;
Grandchildren, Mallory, Trenton, Taylor, Abigail, Teah, Madeline, Chase Mother, Gertrude P. Menough of Geneva; Brother, Michael G. (Melanie) Menough of Webster, NY.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Phyllis Diane Warner
Friends will be received 5-8:00 pm Thursday, September 23, 2010, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
Private family graveside services will be observed.
Memorial luncheon will be held 12:00-4:00 pm, Friday, September 24, 2010, at the Eagles, 120 Depot Road, Geneva, Ohio.
